THE DOSE – THE CRAFTER EDITION

This month on The Dose, here is one of my favorite crafters, Josie.

Introduction

Hi, my name is Josie. I am 30 years old and I live in London, England. I work for the Police in London and have done so for nearly 7 years.

What are you creatively addicted to? When did you start?

I do love to draw and paint, but haven’t done much of that for a few years. My creative addiction at the moment is card making and scrapbooking. I started making cards about 8 years ago, but really got into it the last 2 years. I love to use rubber stamps and colour them in, which leads me to my other addiction, Pro Markers from Letraset. They are amazing pens that lots of professional artists and illustrators use.

Why do you create?

I think arts and crafts has a calming effect. Any job can be stressful and crafting in any form is relaxing. It can take you away from the real world for a while. You can gain a sense of achievement when you have made something you are proud of. It’s also lovely to be able to give something to people you care about that you have made yourself. With something like scrapbooking, it’s a great way to store memories.

Where can people find your work?

Name one thing you would like people to know about you.

I want to be a police officer more than anything.

Josie has great card marking and scrapbooking ideas. Don’t forget to check out her blog.
