MY SKILLSHARE EXPERIENCE

If you’re anything like me and you like to learn new things, then you will love the “global market place for classes” known as Skillshare. Skillshare is an online community of everyday, ordinary people who share their talents with those who are willing to learn. You can find classes on topics from how to make shoes to how to build iPhone apps.

Last month I dived into the Skillshare community and took an online photography class entitled – Street Photography: Capture the Scenes of your City taught by photographer, Kaitlin Rebesco. Although this wasn’t my first time taking an online class, it was my first time with Skillshare and I absolutely loved it! This particular class was 2 weeks long and only cost me $12. Not only did Kaitlin have live office hours once a week to discuss assignments, she also provided excellent street photography resources. There was also great interaction between the students. I’m still friends with some of my classmates on Twitter and Instagram.

So, if you’re in the mood for learning, go on over to Skillshare.com and see what interests you. Let me know what you find!

20 INCREDIBLY COMPELLING QUOTES ON THE CREATIVE PROCESS

Thanks to TheBestColleges.org for the link  20 Incredibly Compelling Quotes on The Creative Process. Check out the full list here. Below is my favorite quote from Maya Angelo, of course.

“You learn something as you create or appreciate the creative contributions of others. The message becomes, ‘someone was here before me — someone survived — and that means I can.’”
