On Wednesday night I attended my very first networking event at the Wix Lounge (NYC) appropriately called “Team Building and Project Pitch Night.” The event was a creative collaboration between Graphic Design NYC and Creative Village. The purpose of the event was for the attendees to pitch ideas and afterwards come together in a team to discuss them. During the discussion, others offered assistance to their fellow creatives in need of some direction or service.
During the 2 hours I was there, I was able to connect specifically with two creatives; one a graphic designer and lover of photography and the other a fashion blogger and writer. I received some insight on how to get started on my own photography journey and I offered to help someone in need of photography services. It was a win – win!
